Spring 2nd Quarter Journal 2009 April-June

April

1 April 2009 Wednesday

It snowed this morning and I had to be to work early for faculty meeting. Mark had parked in the garage so I was out in the drive way and had to brush snow off my car to go to work. The kids are really driving me crazy and I am worn down from this congestion that has settled in my lungs. I made plans to take tomorrow off just so I can sleep in. I didn't see Mark Andersen this morning because he slept in the TV room with the door shut instead of in his bed in the front room.

2 April 2009 Thursday.

I had Dorothy Pratt work for me so I could sleep in. This cough I have is not letting me get any rest at night. Went to Sam's Club and bought some dog biscuits and chicken strips and even finally took the car through a car wash.

Spent much of the day cleaning house when I discovered a major water leak in the furnace closet. I waited for Mike Romero to get home and he said it was part of the water softener filter and it was leaking hot water. We tried to fix it but couldn't so we had to shut the water off to the house.

Mark Andersen was called in to work at UPS so when he finished at 7 Mike Romero wanted to take him to the Spaghetti Factory at Trolley Square.. must have been Gay date night because there were several obvious couples there.

Mike Romero and I had our usual Mizithra Cheese and Brown Butter Spaghetti and Mark had Lasagna. He gobbled up his plate so I gave him half of my dinner.

We hadn't been to Trolley Square since before the shooting there 2 years ago last February. Lots of empty shops. We had fun looking in Cabin Fever and all its gay stuff and to Brookstone where Michael bought a clock. I think Mark was having a nice time until we got home and he called Tiffany. She told him that his paycheck was all screwed up and then he became majorly depressed. So he was stressed out all over again.

3 April 2009 Friday

It rained and snowed and drizzled all morning and the fire alarm at school went off accidently so we had to go out and stand in an icy drizzle. If I don't have pneumonia I'd be surprised.

Finally finished the Ghost of Plymouth Castle and I was so glad. Some of the kids were excellent and some were the worse I ever had.

When I came home at 2 a plumber was at the house. Mike Romero had stayed home and called a plumber to fix the leak and $350 later it was fixed. Surprised to see that Mark Andersen  had gone to work because when I left him this morning they said they had nothing for him.

4 April 2009 Saturday-

Mark Andersen came up just as Mike Romero and I were leaving to go get some coffee. When he got out of his car he leaned into our window and had this puppy dog face saying he hated to ask but could we help him get tires for Tiffany's car?

We laughed at his puppy dog expression and said sure. Well I said sure. We went to discount tires and bought a set of new tires for $300 and I had my tires rotated. We went to breakfast at Ambers while we waited for Discount Tires to mount everything.

It was a gloomy day but not nearly as bad as yesterday. Mike Romero and Mark went to Brookstone because Mike Romero wanted to buy a docking station for his iPod and there I guess they also when to McCrombie and Fitch and Mike Romero bought Mark a t-shirt and nice long shirt to wear when it's cool out.

Mark then hung out at the house all afternoon and wanted me to watch a diesel truck action movie. Ugh! But he was like a little kid. I lay with his feel up on my chest and I rubbed his feet while Mike Romero lay on the other side of him.

I had made some chili, so for supper we ate enchiladas, tamales, and tacos. Mark called Tiffany and she was out with Becky so he didn't have to leave as early as he thought so he talked Mike Romero into going to Starbucks for Vanilla Bean Lattes and I think to show off his new clothes. If it wasn't for Mark we sure the hell wouldn't be out at the Gateway on a Saturday night. The place was busy probably because it's Mormon Conference weekend. Mark left for home about 9 pm after a really nice day.

5 April 2009 Sunday

Mike Romero discovered a leak in the water softener and turned it off. It was already 12 years old and only warranted for 10. So Mike Romero wants to get another softener because he really likes them. I never had a water softener until this house. Mom and dad never had a water softener.

This evening after eating some left overs, I got really sick and threw up. I don't know what made me nauseas but I threw up and I never throw up. I asked Mike Romero if he felt sick but he said he felt fine, so I don't know what I ate that he didn't. Mark Andersen called us this evening. He sure sounded depressed on the phone like he really missed being up here.

6 April 2009 Monday

Mark Andersen showed up about 8 a.m. while I was in the shower. Since he was bitten by a dog last Friday, he didn't have to go in to work today so we just had a fun lazy day.

After fixing his breakfast of bacon, eggs, hash browns and toast, he acted really tired so had him lie down and go back to bed. He said he went to bed early but didn't sleep because so much was on his mind.

So I let him sleep while I read the newspaper on the computer but then I crawled into bed with him just to hold him and pet him while he slept.

After he had a nap we took the dogs for a ride and went to Sutherland’s to get a pitch fork for the yard and Mike Romero came home during his lunch break. I fixed Mark and I chili hot dogs.

We started to watch China Town when Tiff called and said she needed her debit card so after Mike Romero went back to work we took my truck down to Orem for to her place of employment and he gave her the card.

We had a nice ride down and I told him the story of Larry Copenhagen and why Utah County gives me the creeps.

We got back home about 3 and Mike Romero called and said that he ordered the new water softener and we could meet him after work to help him pick it up at Sears.

Before leaving for Orem I put on BBQ pork to slow cook to make pulled pork sandwiches for dinner. Also made a macaroni salad. While waiting for Mike Romero to call we lay on his bed and I rubbed Marks feet. He likes me to massage his cute feet and I like doing it.

Mike Romero called but we didn't hear the phone so he was already at Sears when we left to meet him. He said he already picked it up and was at the Verizon cell phone store because he wanted to buy a Blackberry for him and Mark.

I dropped Mark off and came home to fix dinner and feed the dogs. Sears called and made an appointment to come install the water softener Thursday at noon.

7 April 2009 Tuesday

Mark Andersen spent the night and I crawled in bed with him to snuggle until he got up at 8. After wards we went out to breakfast at Ambers where he flirted with the waitress of course.

He wanted to go to the movies so after we got home from breakfast we did some yard work because it was absolutely gorgeous out. Mark mowed and I pulled some weeds.

Mark wanted to see the Watchmen which was only playing back at the Century 16 at noon. I said I'd go because I wanted to see Mr. Manhattan's blue penis. I never read any of Moore's works so I didn't really relate to the story which all takes place in 1985 in an alternative Universe.

The movie was long, and violent but better than I expected. It was nearly 3 before we got home.

Mark ate some more pulled pork sandwiches while Mike Romero and I ate ham sandwiches.

Tom Folks wanted Mark and Mike Romero to come over and see his new furniture but I was really too tired. I am doing a lot more running around with Mark then I would on my own.

While they were away I wrote an article for QSalt Lake Lambda Lore Column that's due Thursday. I wrote it about my registering for the draft in 1969. Mark and Mike Romero didn't get home until nearly 10:30 and then Mark drove down to Salem to be with Tiff before she heads down to Las Vegas tomorrow.

8 April 2009 Wednesday

Noticed the pink house on the corner of Daleridge and Fernleaf is up for sale as is Leonard’s on Niles and Fernleaf. Soon Norma and Lynn Chaffin and the Halls will be the only original home owners in the neighborhood besides me.

When Mark and I got up we went to Ambers again for Breakfast because he still isn’t being called in to work.  We lounged around the afternoon with him watching a movie while I rubbed his feet and played with his balls.  It was just a lazy day.

I fixed broccoli and cauliflower cheese soup for dinner tonight.  Mike Romero and Mark went back to the Gateway to see about their Blackberry.

9 April 2009 Thursday

Mark Andersen wasn’t called into work today so I guess as a birthday present or just being antsy he detailed the truck and my car for me.  I fixed him a nice breakfast first.

I told him that if anything happens to me that truck is his and I am going to put him on the title when I get the rest of the loan I took out on it paid off.

Well he had a hot date with some girl named Amanda that he met on his “Woo Me” account and so he took the car while I waited around for the Water Softener installer to show up.  He was supposed to be here between 12 and 2 but I guess got hung up on a job so it was closer to three when he got here.

He was young and  working class with tattoos and a lip piercing but still sexy.  He said that he had to install an outlet because the old softener was hot wired into the house and the new ones come with a plug.  I also had him test the water for hardness and that with the extra labor had me paying an extra $250 on top of the $199 I already paid. Oh well what can you do?

He had me turn the water on upstairs and he turned the water on in my bathroom downstairs and I forgot that I had left a rubber dildo in my shower. Ha! I wonder what he thought of that.

Anyway about the time he showed up, I got a call from Mark Andersen who had been pulled over in Heber because the Sheriff there ran the plates on the truck and stopped him because he said that they were expired.

So I was talking on the phone with the sheriff and explaining that they were not expired that I have a June tag on my car and that I had the emission certificate dated July 2 but I guess I must have taken the registration out when I did my taxes in January and forgot to put it back in the Glove box.

Anyway the guy just wrote a ticket and didn’t impound the car thank God but that pissed me off because Richard Packer said he set it up so that I wouldn’t have to register the car until June.  Oh Well what can you do?

I felt sorry that this had to happen to Mark while out on a date trying to impress some girl.  Later he said she was fine with it and they had a good time over it.

When Mike Romero came home I had to go get bags of salt and he looked pretty shot. I know he’s frustrated over his Blackberry, and that he’s not sleeping, and that Mark is using his Blackberry to call girls, and that Mark wants to bring his daughter to the house this Saturday.  I won’t even go there with him about that.

Mark went south to Salem to spend some time with his dog Zoe.

Mike Romero asked if Mark said anything about what happened at Tom’s on Tuesday and I said just that he took his dick out and shook it at Tom. Well I guess the rest of the story is that he let Mike Romero and Tom suck his dick and tits.  I thought it was funny.  I guess the boy does have a bi-sexual nature.

10 April 2009 Friday

Mike Romero left this morning without me seeing him, and Mark Andersen showed up about 8 but they didn’t call him into work.  I had him get all the paper work out of the truck. I couldn’t register the truck on line, using the emission certificate I received last July so I told Mark that I had to go get the truck inspected.

He wanted to come with me and the place was busy so we had about an hour wait.  Some guy was there with a schnauzer so of course we began to talk and he said he gets his dog groomed at this place over on 13th South for $20. So I might have to go there for Daisy.

After we left the Inspection Station I got on line and paid for the Registration but I couldn’t get the printer to work so I had Mark go with me up to school and I printed the temporary registration there.

Mark helped me take down posters and moved my classroom desks back to where they belong.  Afterwards we had a bite to eat at Del Taco and Mark was worried that Mike Romero was upset with him because he wouldn’t answer his messages.

I told him not to worry about it but he was, so he wanted to go to Questar and he knew the guy at the Gate so he was able to get in. I waited in the truck while Mark went and talked to him.  Mike Romero was still kind of distance but I know he’s not feeling well. His eyes are blurry and he’s got insomnia which would make anyone cranky.  He said he had to work late tonight and wouldn’t be home, which disappointed Mark.

After we left Mike Romero we went to the Gateway because Mark wanted to walk around.  Mark is good for me because he gets me moving.  Since Mike Romero wasn’t coming home Mark and I went to Lone Star Steakhouse in Sugarhouse because they had sent me a $15 off coupon for my birthday so we went there for my birthday dinner.

It was good and the total for both our meals and drinks only came to $22.  He said he wanted to pay because it was my birthday and I just gave him the look. I said you being with me on my 58th birthday is present enough for me because otherwise I would have had to spend it alone.

Back at the house we lay on his bed and cuddled some. I think he was tired from getting up early. He told me today that he thinks it’s over between Tiff and him. He’s come to the realization with her taking off to Vegas with Becky and not wanting to be with him shows she doesn’t really love him anymore.

Mark left about 9 to go pick up his daughter Audrey since it’s his weekend to have her and I then just went to bed watching a little of Body Heat.  Happy Birthday to me.

11 April 2009 Saturday

Michael didn’t sleep at the house tonight so maybe he got a motel to get some sleep.  I went to the store and bought some groceries because I wanted to fix a pre-Easter dinner for Mark and his daughter when they came over.

Mike Romero came home about 10 this morning and I was surprised because I really didn’t think he wanted to be here to meet Audrey.  However we talked about Mike Romero’s relationship with Mark. Mike Romero is finally admitted that he’s really in love with Mark. He’s his love map.

I’m not “in-love” with Mark but I love him to death and grateful at my age to have someone like him to care for me and to hug me and fool around a little to keep my sexual energies from being bottled up.  I think he got some rest too because he didn’t look so haggard.

Mark Showed up about 11 with Audrey and his dog Zoe, so we got to meet his daughter. She’s a cute little 9 year old with ginger hair and freckles.  I took over and Audrey and I did a bunch of art projects at the counter so that  Mark and Mike Romero could go to Verizon and learn some things on their Blackberry toys.

I had her construct a bunny and a bird out of construction paper and we also did some water colors. She really liked the water colors because her teacher doesn’t let her do them.  She said she likes our house and she said I was her teacher.

While we were working on art I baked a ham and scalloped potatoes and made a strawberry glazed pie.  When Mark and Mike Romero came back we ate dinner and I also fixed some corn.  I think we all were having a very nice time.  However Mark said they had to leave about 2 to go back to Salem where Tiff’s parents were going to dye some Easter eggs with Audrey.

Before leaving Audrey got to see a little bit of Twilight on the big screen and I know she didn’t want to leave but she’s a sweet girl.   I told her to give me a hug before leaving and she did and then she went over to Mike Romero and hugged him too.  We walked them out to their car and said goodbye some more with Mark and Audrey both hugging us good bye.

Later in the day Tom Folk wanted Mike Romero to go shopping with him at Ikea and Bed Bath and Beyond.  I guess he has a new boyfriend that took him out on his birthday yesterday.

Funny, Mike Romero said that while I was with Audrey doing watercolors, he and Mark took a shower together and Mark did water sports with Mike Romero. Nasty boys.

Mark later texted Mike Romero and said Tiff chewed Mark out for taking Zoe up here.  What a bitch.  Well she got $500 out of me for tires and a camera.

12 April 2009 Easter Sunday

A very quiet Easter Day without Mark Andersen.  I went up to school for about 2 hours to clean up my room and get ready for the new week. Called mom while at work. She seemed a little tired. Sounds like Charline has the stomach flu.

It was a very pretty day just a little cool. Most of the trees are in full blossom.

Tom Folk came over to watch a movie but I took a nap.  After Tom left the dogs wanted to go for a ride so we drove downtown and up to the University and around and there a university cop pulled me over for making a right turn on red light. I hadn’t seen any sign saying I couldn’t.  It was a very slow day and no one else was on the road so I guess she had nothing else to do.

Fortunately for me just as she was walking back to her vehicle an SUV made the same right turn and a kid on a skate board was barreling down the middle of the road.  She stopped him and called for another cop who was just sitting at Ft. Douglas to assist.  I guess because She had enough to do she let me off without a ticket just a warning.  Didn’t do much else the rest of the evening.

13 April 2009 Monday

Back to work. It was a beautiful day, warm enough for the kids to want to be outside. Made arrangements for a walking field trip to Bountiful Electric for next week.  The next two weeks will be busy with the Symphony field trip, Bountiful Electric, the Ballet West I can Do Dance and Butterflies.

Mark Andersen took his daughter to the dentist. I fixed him some spaghetti before he had to hurry off to work at 5. He said he didn’t miss Tiffany at all and he and Mike Romero went to the Desert Pub at Trolley Square for Beers and a burger at lunch.  Also I guess they had an afternoon of water sports.  Mark seemed to be in a really good mood.

14 April 2009 Tuesday

It rained a lot today. Didn’t think it was going to by the weather report. Mark Andersen was called into work today again so that’s good news.  Mike Romero said Mark slept with him again so that was good that he’s becoming so comfortable here.  He doesn’t want to talk to Tiffany but not sure where that is going. He’s talking divorce.

15 April 2009 Wednesday

It rained and poured all day with even some snow mixed in.  Had to go in early for some training on the new End of the level tests that are going to be on computers this year and from now on.  Had the kids play games for much of the day because they were too wired to learn anything.

After school had another meeting to learn that we are losing another teacher due to budget cuts and a grade level will have to do a split.  The least evasive split appears to be a 5th Grade split with just 3 teachers, Jenny, Carol, and me.

I volunteered to do the split for next year so I will be teaching 30, 4th and 5th graders. That’s depressing but at least I have a job.

I made a Mexican stew for dinner tonight to pour over rice.  Mark worked today so didn’t get home until about 7:30 and then he and Mike Romero went and met Tom Folks and their other friend Bret for a “kiss-in” at Starbucks.  I didn’t go. Told Mark I’ve kissed enough boys in my life time.

When they came home about 10:30. I had to talk to Mark about over charges in his bank account and asked him not to use the debit card until it’s all cleared up.  Mike Romero and I both told him that we love him and want to help him with following a budget.

16 April 2009 Thursday

Read in the paper that the legislators took away all of the teachers’ Quality Teaching Days next year so that’s like about a $700 cut in pay.  Mike Romero lost all his money in his 401K retirement plan. Over $7000 gone.  Mark had a hard day working an unfamiliar route so he didn’t get home until nearly 10 p.m.

17 April 2009 Friday

I took the day off today and I am glad I did because I was up to 3 in the morning with acid reflux so I just used the time to write my next article for QSalt Lake.

When I heard Michael Romero leave for work I got up to go lay with Mark Andersen. I found him in the entertainment room curled up on the futon so I lay with him and rubbed his feet and let him push his morning hard on up against my backside.

He didn’t get called into work today because he went over his hours yesterday which were okay with him because he wanted to take a trip with Mike Romero this weekend.

I took Mark out for breakfast at Ambers where Tom Folks met us.  He had to work today but we gave him my old cell phone and charger because his has a defect.

Mike Romero got off work at noon and changed plans from going to Rawlins because the storms we had this week is hitting them so they decided to go to Vegas.

Mike Romero asked if I wanted to go to see mom but I declined because I have a busy week next week and just wanted to relax at home.  Told him I would take care of the dogs instead so they two could have a nice time together.

I think Mark was really excited about getting out of town.  After they got on the road I really didn’t do much. Got Chinese food and went and bought some food for the dogs and watched Instant Watch Netflix for the rest of the day.

18 April 2009 Saturday

Smokey had a gurgly stomach for most of the day so worried about him.  The guys ate at Arizona Charlie’s and Mike Romero won $15 on penny slots. Mike Romero wanted Mom’s number because he said he’d drop by. I called Mom to let her know so she wouldn’t be surprised.

19 April 2009 Sunday

Beautiful day with spring like temps. Took the dogs on several rides and grocery shopping but mostly just cleaned the house and worked in the back yard some. I made lasagna also.

I guess the guys are still having fun in Vegas. I watched a documentary “Standard Operating Procedures” about the abuse of prisoners in Iraq that was pretty compelling.

I was up most of the night with a bout of stomach disorder again.

In the news former Congressman Bill Orton died while riding an ATV in the Utah Sand Dunes.

When I left for work saw Mark Andersen and Mike Romero in bed snoring away so left without saying goodbye. Coming home Mark was gone to meet Tiffany so they can talk about their marriage.

21 April 2009 Tuesday

After Mike Romero left for work I got up and found Mark Andersen sleeping in Mike Romero Romero’s bed so crawled in with him to snuggle. He was still sleeping pretty soundly when I left him to get ready for work.

Today was the symphony field trip to Abravanel Hall. It made for a do nothing day.

Saw Mark briefly before he headed off to work after I got home. He’s going down to Salem to tonight to see his dog Zoe and to talk some more with Tiffany.

On Face Book: I just got my Hippy Name. It's Cloud Sky I just got my Stripper Name. It's Brandy Sparkle Dazzle I just got my Pirate Name. It's Captain French Beard of the pirate ship Smelly Draws

22 April 2009 Wednesday

I’ve added up the money I put into Mark Andersen’s account since February 20  and with the tires and phone he bought for Tiffany it total $1,914.75.  Today was Earth Day clean up at school so had the kids pull some weeds.  Most of them will be day laborers or married to them.

23 April 2009 Thursday

Michael Romero is being morose because Mark Andersen hasn’t been around. He’s been back home in Salem where Tiff is finally putting out for him.  That’s what he likes- pussy- so you can’t blame him.

Michael is having a hard time sharing Mark and realizing that Mark is never going to be his lover but just his sweet friend.

I watched some of Pinocchio when there was a rapping at my window and it was Darren Solomon. So I got up and let him in with all the hounds yapping and going crazy.  Didn’t want to go upstairs because Mike Romero was already in bed so just went into my room and sat and talked.

He said that he was worried about me because I haven’t been answering my phone.  I said I just have been busy with school and Mark Andersen but I promised I’d answer his messages from now on.  I think he just needed some assurance and some affection.

I guess he and Merrill have been fighting and Merrill’s been in the hospital for a couple of days from his illness so I guess he just needed to talk to someone who he cares about.   I’ve known Darren for a very long time. Maybe 15 years.

24 April 2009 Friday

I tossed and turned all over the place last night so kind of tired today.  After getting to school it was cloudy and chilly and I didn’t bring a jacket and we were having a walking field trip to Bountiful Electric. So while the kids were at dance I hurried home and there was Mark Andersen who had worked three shifts and had just gotten off work and back up here from the dentist.

We visited briefly because had to get my ass back to school.  The field trip went well and I left school about 2:15 to come home. I will be working late Wednesday and Thursday so took some time off. Besides I will go in tomorrow.

At home found Mark on the computer and we talked about how things were going with Tiff. Said he was fighting with her. He decided not to go into work tonight to stay home with Mike Romero until having to pick up his daughter.

So after feeding the dogs we went to Bountiful and ate at Applebee’s. There I saw Susan McAdams whom I use to work with at Orchard and she said that she thinks Luann Nielsen committed suicide because evidently she was in a lot of pain and it just wasn’t getting any better.  She also said that Shirley Mayo is coming back to Washington Elementary as a tech.

Back at the house we all watched HBO’s Rome series.

25 April 2009 Saturday

Bea Arthur the comedienne of Maud and Golden Girls died today. She was great. Miss her brand of humor.  It rained much of the day so just did laundry and watch TV.  I also wrote an article for Q Salt Lake on the riot at Sugar House Park in 1969.  Swine Flu is making the news again.  I guess there’s an outbreak in Mexico City.  In 1976 the government made most Americans get a Swine Flu shot.  I got mine in November 1976.

26 April 2009 Sunday

It rained a lot again today and was really chilly. 40 degrees.  I made chicken dumplings and took the doggies for a ride.  Not much in the way of news or at least I am not hearing it.  Dick Cheney is trying to defend the use of torture in the Bush administration.

No fancy shmancy pants here. Fancy is a house, not a home. Home is hugs and fried chicken.

27 April 2009 Monday

I made spaghetti for dinner and potato salad for lunch this week. Mark Anderson worked today but didn’t spend the night. I’ve been watching this Gay puppet show called Rick and Steve that is really cute.  The schnauzers have an appointment at the groomers this Friday

28 April 2009 Tuesday

I get a text message from Mark Andersen this morning asking if I hated him too. So I called him to find out what was going on and evidently Mike Romero told him to give back the blackberry phone since Mark was going to try and resolve things with Tiff. I told him I am staying out of it but this is my house and Mark was welcomed here anytime. He said he’d be over this weekend to help work in the yard.

29 April 2009 Wednesday

I am furious with two parents who by 9:30 still hadn’t sent someone to pick up their kid.  It was a long day with the I Can Do Dance at West High School.  It was crazy because first of all our bus was late because our original driver was hurt in a crash so they had to send another bus and driver. Ms. Harding flaked out because she had a soccer game so we had to split her kids between us. Another school Riley Elementary kept taunting our kids that I had to go break it up.

30 April 2008 Thursday

Another long day because of Literacy Night. Three people showed and I had to stay until 7:30.  I think more people came for the Pizza then the literacy night because there was a huge line and they were running out of pizza and they never had before. I told Liz tongue in check that it must be the Recession because it looked like a bread line.  Maybe I am just tired but feeling really kind of blue.  Haven’t heard from Mark in two days nor talked to Mike Romero. No one cares what my day was like. I might t as well live alone.

May

1 May 2009 Friday

I took the day off to rest but I was up early to take the dogs in to have them groomed.  They were there all day. Smokey weighed in at 21.2 pounds, Buddy was 33.8 pounds and poor Daisy was 48 pounds.

Mark Andersen texted me that he was working today so didn’t come by at all.  I just watched some movies until it was time to pick the rascals up.  It was rainy much of the day so didn’t get any yard work done and the grass is getting high. Opened the package from Fay Romero and there was a picture, a card, and place mats.

2 May 2009 Saturday

It's still pouring rain and my grass needs mowing, and roses trimming, weeds pulled ... oh well back to bed.

3 May 2009 Sunday

Drinking hot mocha chocolate on the 3rd day of May. What's up with that? My grass is high enough to feed 4 goats. Anyone have a goat I can borrow?  It finally cleared up enough to go mow the front yard and I pulled the rest of the weeds along the south facing fence.   Kind of disappointed that Mark Andersen didn’t come up to help.

4 May 2009 Monday

I went to Sutherlands and bought a Red Japanese Maple to replace the green one that died over the winter.  Called Mom and she said she was exhausted from her trip but they found a house in Queen’s Creek, Arizona for $150,000.

They are having it built and should be ready to occupy in the fall. Mom put down the down payment.  She said she also dropped by my Aunt Marie Williams  in Sedona and she said the doctors only gave Marie a year to live from her liver cancer.

5 May 2009 Tuesday

Mark Andersen came by this morning and looked kind of sheepish.  Said Michael Romero cut him off from iTunes and Napster.  I hugged him for a long time and then had to run off to work.  Bought Mother Day cards to send off today.

"Which race would you belong to in Middle-Earth?" with the result Hobbits. You are a Hobbit! Farming, eating, smoking pipe-weed and socializing are what you love. Please, no adventures. Only few of you will ever travel the world, but you are more than content living your life day to day with simple comforts. Tucked away in your hobbit hole is perfect..

Ben took Personality Test ISFP - The Composer Hardworking, cooperative, and happy to work with others. Good at troubleshooting and dislikes routine. Desires to pull things, ideas, and people together into a harmonious whole.

Ben completed the quiz "The Political Ideology Quiz" with the result Very Liberal. You are very liberal. You are about as far left as you can be before heading into Stalin's backyard..

6 May 2009 Wednesday

Mailed off three Mother Day cards to mom, Aunt Marie, and Faye Romero today.

Long day because of faculty meeting this morning.

7 May 2009 Thursday

School is winding down while the kids are winding up. I’ve got one kid that tells kids to fight each other or he will fight them. One kid that stole a bunch money, from where who knows. One kid calling kids stupid Mexicans and Samoans…one kid lying about Mrs. Peterson, one kid telling Mormon kids they suck…it’s like a mad house but a month from now I am on vacation.

When I came home it was such a pleasant afternoon that I decided to finish up the work I was doing on the south side of the house. Mainly pulling weeds and cutting back roses.  I pulled out the rose bush in front of the electric meter. It was a nuisance and it had gone wild anyway. I chopped the pink rose bush back which is what I should have done last fall.

Since I was ambitious I decided to dig up the dead Japanese Maple tree because it was not coming back. I dug around the roots and when I took a hold of the trunk to pull it up, the trunk snapped and I fell forward. I barely missed being lanced in the gut as I fell and rolled to the ground.

Then the dogs came running and covered me with kisses until I could get up.  Who knows where Michael Romero is?

Chuck Whyte called and said Auntie De aka Dean Walton died yesterday of natural causes.

8 May 2009 Friday

For teacher’s appreciation day this one student gave me a Snicker’s Candy bar but another student stole and ate it before I got the chance.  This is the kind of class I’ve had this year.

Came home and worked in the backyard pulling weeds. It’s slowly coming together. Talked to mom. She said Charline and Dennis are moving in with her so they don’t have to run the air-conditioning in their trailer.  Watched some of Martin Short’s Jiminy Glick shows and Pushing Up Daisies before going to bed.

9 May 2009 Saturday

Had a sorrowful dream last night. Dreamed Mike Romero put his arms around me and said he loved me and wanted us to be like we use to be.  All this week Mike Romero has not talked to me. I don’t think he’s mad. He just doesn’t care.  I bought 85 dollars’ worth of perennials and planted today and did some yard work.. It never warmed up much today and stayed in the low 60’s.  Finally cleaned down stairs.

10 May 2009  Sunday Mother’s Day

Busy, busy day.  Went to Walmart early in the morning and bought some more plants for the yards and then spent much of the day working cleaning up the side patio…blowing all the leaves off into the compost.  It was a pretty day but still kind of cool.

Mark Andersen texted me a message Happy Mother’s Day.  The yard is finally shaping up but I think I will have to go to the dump instead of waiting for the neighborhood cleanup.

11 May 2009 Monday

Had a restless sleep. Allergies kept me blowing my nose, and then I almost had acid reflex… so just a generally sleepless night.

I got through school okay although this was the first time we did the CRT on the computer and I was a little nervous about that.

Mark Andersen said he’s coming over either tomorrow or Wednesday to Mow the lawn and will be here Saturday to do some yard work.

I fixed Pork Chops, potatoes, corn on the cob, and salad for dinner. First time Mike Romero and I ate together for over a week.

13 May 2009 Wednesday

Mark was here when I got home from work pulling up some dead trees. He couldn’t get the rusted chain-saw chain to work so we went to Sears to get one.  Mike Romero was surprised to see Mark here.

14 May 2009 Thursday

Returned the chain saw chain to Sears and went to Best Buy where I got Mark an adapter for his iPod music thing.  Stayed in this evening and watched HBO’s Rome.

15 May 2009 Friday

School is coming to a close and the kids are bursting to get out of control.  We tested today, had a Teddy Bear’s Picnic Read-A-Thon, and released our butterflies.  The other teachers’ aren’t nearly ready to be released.

Came home and Mike Romero said that Mark Andersen wasn’t coming up tonight so I just worked in the yard some transplanting day-lilies and watching a show called Pushing Daises.

Ben just took the "What is your personality type??" quiz and the result is Phlegmatic. You are an easy going, caring, and kind person. Some Phlegmatic have an amazing sense of humor and can crack jokes without even a grin. You tend to get along well with most anyone and keep most things to yourself. You are always looking for the easy way to do things and often procrastinate. Phlegmatic are generally attracted to Choleric of the opposite sex.

Does this mean I am a big Snot?

Ben just took the "What kind of man tickles your fancy?" quiz and the result is A Silly, Cute Boy.  You love a boy with personality and you don't look so much into looks. You need someone who makes you laugh constantly and entertains you. You enjoy small dates here and there, but don't expect him to spoil you.

Ben just took the "What sexual position are you?" quiz and the result is Doggy Style.  You don't care how fast, slow, hard or gentle he goes. All you care about is bendin' over and letting him control the scene. And for the guys, you like it how you are in control of this and have a wonderful view of that ass.

What Star Trek Character are you? Lt. Uhura You are a people person. You love to communicate and talk to people. You realize the importance of having people united for the cause and you love, more than anything, sweet, little, fluffy TRIBBLES....even if they are the cause of all your troubles.

16 May 2009 Saturday

Mark Andersen came over while I was still in the shower.  We cleaned out the tool shed this morning and piled the truck with stuff to take to the dump.  Finally got rid of the old washer and dryer we had since we bought the house and put them on the street for someone else to use.

Mike Romero went with Mark to the dump and then we went to Texas Lone Star for lunch because I had a coupon.  We had a nice lunch then we went to Century 16 to see Star Trek.  They did an excellent job recasting the roles of Capt. Kirk, Spock, and really all the cast.  Should make the series last for another generation.

After the movie Mark wanted to drive up to Heber to show us an old camping site he loved as a teenager.  Tom Folks wanted to go with us so we swung by his place and then drove to Heber Valley.

The place was an off road  sheep trail that bounced us all of the place and I was hesitant because the trail had NO Trespassing Signs posted over all over the place.  But the smell of sage was sweet and it was important for Mark to share with us a place that meant so much to him.

Afterwards we ate at the HUB in Heber and I had a Navajo Taco.  There were lots of cute men in Heber so that kept Tom and Mike Romero entertained.

We didn’t get home until nearly 8 when I fed the dogs who I knew must be hungry since they are used to be fed around 6.

Mark looked at some of Mike Romeros train books and then left to go back to Salem. He was awfully tired and did  all the driving today.  In the news, heard that President Obama selected our governor Huntsman to be the Ambassador to China so he’s going to be replaced by right-wing Gary Herbert. Ugh.

17 May 2009 Sunday

My nephew’s wife Jehil Jones wrote I am still freaked out about last night. Dee could not breath, 911 was called, and the ambulance took her to the E.R. She was diagnosed with f-ing pneumonia. She is home now and doing well but damn the trauma to my little girl and to my nerves!

Ben just took the "What is your Animal Personality?" quiz and the result is Bear. You are patient and lazy and tend not to do anything unless it benefits you. You also have a nasty temper when roused, and that temper easily scares people away. As a bear, you revel in your alone time and may spend quite a bit of it sleeping instead of doing something more productive.

Bear is my totem so not surprised. Once in a group drumming vision circle a dancing bear came to me as my totem.... BTW you spell sorrow as woes NOT whoas... I swear the people that come up with these quizzes do not have spell check or are too lazy to proof read... What ever happened to excellence?

18 May 2009 Monday

It was so hot today! Nearly 97 degrees in Bountiful and the air condition unit was not working at all. I wrote my Lambda Lore column for the Q Salt Lake tonight.  It’s about my graduation 40 years ago from high school and the death of Judy Garland.  I called John Reeves and wished him happy birthday. He turned 77 years old.  We had a good long visit.

"What Movie Drag Queen Are You?" Bernadette from Priscilla Queen of the Desert -A veteran that knows the ins and outs of the drag world and is just so tired of the same old scene..

19 May 2009 Tuesday

Today was out field trip to the Bee’s Baseball Games at Covey-Franklin Field. It was just for fifth graders. We left about 9 o’clock and got there about 9:30. I’ve never been before so I was a little anxious about keeping track of the kids but it turned out all right.

We had the sun in our face for most of the morning but thank goodness a cloud cover blew in and the breeze kept us from sweltering.

I broke down and bought a drink there. $3.75 for a nasty tasty diet coke. Lots of cute daddies however and the players in their baseball uniforms looked hot!  So while I hardly paid any attention to the game I was looking at the players. The Bees lost to the Iowa Cubs 3-2.

We were back at school by 2 o’clock so that really was about the extent of our day.

After work I bought some chicken for dinner at Albertson’s and about 60 dollars more of flowers for the backyard.  When I got home I was surprised to see Mark Andersen.  I guess he didn’t have to work today and stayed up here thinking that Mike Romero could get off early but he couldn’t.

Mike Romero was in a mood to have Mark tell us about his childhood upbringing and on Google search maps we showed each other where we grew up. I showed him Garden Grove and it was almost like taking him there.

After dinner Mark wanted to watch some more of Rome so we went into Mike Romeros’ bedroom.  Mark stripped to his underwear to get comfortable and I said you might as well take them off took because you know Mike Romero will.

So he laid on his belly while Mike Romero and I rubbed his feet and watched two episodes of Rome.  About 10, Mike Romero rolled him over and I massaged his hands and played with his cock some before Mike Romero started sucking him.

I said I had to get up early so I kissed him goodnight, told him I loved him, and went to bed.  About an half hour later they were through and Mark came down and gave me a hug before leaving for Salem.

20 May 2009 Wednesday

Had to be at work at 7:45 for a faulty meeting on the new DESK Standards for Davis Schools.  I didn’t sleep well either because still have an irritating cough.

The first death from Swine Flu in Utah occurred today in a 21 year old.  When I came home from school planted some of the flowers I bought yesterday and then fed the dogs and fixed burritos for dinner.  Mike Romero says he wants to take Mark Andersen to San Francisco in June on the train and get a sleeper car.

21 May 2009 Thursday

Mark Andersen didn’t work today so he mowed the front and back yards for me.  We ate some supper and then Mark wanted to watch some more episodes of Rome so we laid on Mike Romero’s bed and again Mark stripped naked and we pampered him. How very decadent but delightful.

22 May 2009 Friday

When I came home early, Mark Andersen was at the house. He didn’t work again and was up in Salt Lake to pick up his daughter for Memorial Day Weekend.

He went with me to the car wash before he had to go. My car was really spotted from the drizzle we had last Tuesday.

After he left I worked some in the backyard and front yard.  When Mike Romero came home he didn’t even say hello before going back to his room.

Whenever I come home Mark seeks me out, gives me a hug, glad to see me.  Mike Romero ignores me.  I fixed myself a hamburger but didn’t ask if he wanted one.  He could come out and say hello and at least talk to me but he doesn’t so why should I care if he wants something to eat?  He could ask me what’s for supper and I’d fix it but why should I have to go to him all the time?

So I just fixed the dogs and myself something and went downstairs to my room and watched television.

23 May 2009 Saturday

Mike Romero took off this morning without telling me where so who knows where he’s gone. Maybe Mark Andersen does. I don’t care.

This morning I worked in the yard some moving some of the castle bricks I have at the southwest part of my yard up to my new garden area to keep the dogs from trampling my flowers.  I only brought up about 10 and it wore me out.

Finally planted my hollyhock seeds. May be they will come up.  It was a very cool day perfect day for yard work.

Later I spent the day cleaning house, vacuuming, doing the dishes, all the mundane work that is necessary to keeping up a house.  Did some laundry and made some pulled BBQ pork in the crock pot so I had a busy if uneventful day.

In the evening watched BBC series “Aristocrats” about the Lennox Sisters of the 18th Century comfortably in my clean bed. Ah the luxury of clean crisp sheets.  Woke up about midnight and heard it was pouring down rain. Good.

25 May 2009 Monday

Mike Romero  came home this evening. I guess he took a trip with this kid named Chad to Lake Tahoe over the Memorial Day Weekend.

26 May 2009 Tuesday

Back to school. California Supreme Court upheld the process of people passing the marriage Amendment called Prop 8 but also said that the 18,000 Gays married prior to November still could remain legally married.  So Gay Marriage is recognized in California but not after Nov 2008

27 May 2009 Wednesday

Mark Anderson came over and we looked at the Sprinkler System and then watched an episode of Rome

28 May 2009 Thursday

Can’t believe how disgusting some people are. Someone took a crap on the sidewalk leading to out the front door.

29 May 2009 Friday

Mark Andersen and Mike Romero  left for Wyoming after we all we out to Applebee’s in Bountiful and I paid the bill which was $44.92 which included the tip. Jehill wrote in Facebook that she is having a baby boy. He will be mom’s great grandson.

30 May 2009 Saturday

Worked in yard all day moving Castle bricks. I went to China Delight and got a lunch of Garlic Pork, Fried Rice and an Egg Roll for $6.42. Then I went to Sutherlands to buy potting soil and scalloped bricks.

31 May 2009 Sunday

I spent over a $100 today between groceries from Super Savers and buying sod at Sutherlands. I spent $42.52 buying grocery items and $71.51 at Sutherlands.

The sod was $3.50 apiece and looked in good shape so I bought 16 pieces.  Mike Romero and Mark Andersen came in around 9 p.m. and they were tired but glad about the trip.  Mark left right away to get home to Salem.

Mike Romero said his niece Christina Taylor is getting a divorce because her husband Lee lost his job and that his sister Michelle Romero got a DUI in Rawlins.

June

1 June 2009 Monday

I scrambled to get a birthday card in the mail for Mom. I hope she gets it by Wednesday but I doubt it.

I spent $27.04 on food for the dogs as well as the card at Smith’s Marketplace in Bountiful.

This last week of school is a pain.  Just keep the kids entertained and from killing each other.

After school I went to Super Savers on Redwood and 700 North and bought some groceries for $20.13.

In the evening it started to thunder and lightning, like a summer storm, so I kept my bedroom window open to hear the rain fall and clean the air and about midnight it poured.

Fixed a salad for dinner and Mike Romero and I ate out on the deck and visited about Mark.  Mike Romero said that Friday night at the cabin Mark reciprocated and was sucking his dick too. It’s about time.

My PT Cruiser loan was paid today $ 211.00. My car insurance for the truck was paid today $22.76 and $43.61 for the Chrysler PT Cruiser.  I guess General Motors is going into Bankruptcy after all.

2 June 2009 Tuesday

We had our field day and I guess the kids had a good time. This one boy has been helping me pack and move my stuff from the portable back into the school where I will be in the fall.

I got a phone call from a woman named Michelle from the Utah History organization. Valerie Larabee referred her to me as the community historian.  She wanted some information about any high school activities in the 1980’s and I basically said there wasn’t any until Kelly Peterson’s East High group 14 years ago.

We talked and she wanted to know if I’d donate my collection and I said sure as long as it’s credited to the Utah Stonewall Historical Society.  She also wants to set up a time for me to be interviewed for an oral history.

I am excited that the Utah State Historical Society called and wanted me to donate my collection of Gay history to them. They said they had little of history of the Gay Civil Rights Movement in Utah. They are also doing an oral interview of me for their files...

So between the collections of 37 boxes of material I gave to the U of U Marriott Library we are set. Finally being recognized as a people with a history.

My 2nd cousin Beverly Danforth made me laugh when she wrote when your over 50 you can live without sex but not your glasses.... how true!

3 June 2009 Wednesday

These last days of school is nothing more than babysitting. I do not know what I am going to do with my 26 students today who'd rather disembowel me and hang me from my own intestines rather than do one minute more of school work ... 2 and 1/2 more days. I teach for three great reasons... June July and August.

Today is Mom’s 80th birthday and I called her when I got home.  She’s going to celebrate her birthday with Charline’s this weekend.  She said nothing is new there. Dennis and Charline have moved in with her to save air conditioning expenses.

I come home every day and work a little in the back yard.  I wrote an article for Q Salt Lake on the death of Judy Garland 40 years ago this June because the deadline was today.

4 June 2009 Thursday

I was furious with my kids today because they didn’t listen and cut in line to get some going away cake for the kids who will be going to Foxborough next year.  This is how they have been all year so why expect anything different?

Facebook Quiz "Which alignment are you?" with the result Neutral Good. Known as the "Benefactor" alignment, a neutral good character is guided by his conscience and typically acts altruistically, without regard for or against Lawful precepts such as rules or tradition. A neutral good character may cooperate with lawful officials but does not feel beholden to them. A doctor that treats soldiers from both sides in a war would be considered neutral good.

5 June 2009 Friday

Last day of the school year and it couldn’t come any sooner.  We went bowling today and that took up some of the morning and kids were out at 1:25.  I gave Maddie Zaelit some canvases I have never used and told her to paint some great pictures.  I won’t miss the Foxborough kids at all and pity their 6th grade teachers.

I took off right about 2:00 because I knew I’d have to come back next week to get some things out of the room before they take the portable away.

Just worked in the back yard spading up some ground to lay some sod.

I haven’t heard a word from Mark Andersen since last Sunday.

6 June 2009 Saturday

I read in the paper today that the State School Board is going to require all teachers to be finger printed at their own expense when they renew their license. So the day I dreaded is finally coming.  Went to Sutherland’s this morning and there wasn’t any sod!  Glad I bought what I did last week and regret not buying more.

I worked in the back yard spading more ground, putting castle bricks around the Birch tree, pulling weeds and mowing.  I can’t wait for Mark to come do it. But I am exhausted from mowing the front and back, weeding the flower beds, burying a poor dead robin, spading up 36 square feet of soil, and doing the laundry... damn my middle class upbringing!

I got a packet of pictures that my 2nd Cousin Barbara Danforth sent me today. The fun one was of a picture of me from 7th Grade.

In the evening I went over to Darren Solomon because he’s been bugging me to come over and his partner Merrill was out of town, so I did.  But I was really tired and I don’t find Darrin that attractive any more.  He smokes a pipe now and his breath has the old tobacco smell.

I heard on NPR that Bush's former Solicitor General Ted Olson along with his former opponent David Boyce, Al Gore's lawyer in the infamous Supreme Court case, Bush vs. Gore, is petitioning the U.S. Supreme Court to legalize Gay marriage nationwide, as simple Constitutional Law. Says states cannot take away rights guaranteed in the Constitution. Citing 1967 Supreme Court decision in the Loving V Georgia landmark civil rights case.

7 June 2005 Sunday

Today is Gay Pride Day and it rained and poured for most of the morning so I am sure the Parade was soaking wet.  I had intended to go to Pride and help Mike Romero Aaron out at his Q Salt Lake booth but after seeing it rain I decided to stay home with my dogs and be cozy.

I guess Mike Romero went with Tom Folk and Chuck Whyte to watch the parade.  Cleve Jones was the Grand Marshall and Walt Larabee was the Kristin Ries Community Service winner.

8 June 2005 Monday

Mark Anderson really surprised me by coming over this morning. He said there wasn’t any work for him so he came to help me out.  We went to Ambers for breakfast first and then up to Bountiful where I had him help me take my refrig home and my microwave.

Saturday there wasn’t any sod at Sunderland’s but I had him go back for us to check out if they had any and they did!  So I bought 30 pieces for about $110 and loaded them into the back of the Sonoma. The sod was really wet so it weighed the truck down considerably.

So we spent the morning together laying sod and it was almost enough to do the whole section. I need about 6 more pieces.

We were really dirty and kind of muddy from the sod we took a shower and Mark surprised me by wanting to take one with me.  We lathered up in my shower and he got an erection and he was fucking me when Mike Romero came home.

So we got out of the shower so Mark could visit with Michael but he was in one of his moods.  After Mike Romero went back to work Mark wanted to watch Orgasmo so we watched it in my room and we both got naked.

I was sucked him and he fucked me a little and I gave him a good massage.  It was a nice way to begin my summer vacation.

After the movie I took him to Apollo Burger for a late lunch because he wanted to leave to go home before the traffic begins to get heavy.  He told me in confidence that Michael is looking to move out.  I told him that I don’t care really.   When Mike Romero got home Mark was gone and he was talkative so I fixed some dinner for the both of us.

I went to bed early tuckered out from laying the sod.

9 June 2009 Tuesday

Today is my sister Charline’s 62nd birthday.  I went down the DMV to get the mix up on my tags taken care of. It wasn’t any trouble and I was in and out.  One of my former students mom works there and she was bragging about how I was the best teacher her son ever had.  That was nice.

After that was taken care of I went to Eye Masters to have my glasses straighten. Yesterday when Mark and I were fooling around my glasses must have fallen beneath him because they were a little twisted. After that task was down I went up to Washington Elementary to finish cleaning up my room so I am done now for a little while.

10 June 2009 Wednesday

It rained and rained almost all day.  Mark Andersen came over about 9 a.m. because UPS didn’t have any work for him.  So I fixed him some breakfast and then he drove me around on errands. First went to Costco in Bountiful to renew my membership there and buy some dog treats, then we went to America First  CU where I opened up a savings account.  Mike Romero is just using America 1st now that this will be an easier way for him to pay rent.  I made Mark Andersen my beneficiary on the account.

Then Mark wanted to make a payment on a rifle he had hocked at a pawn shop so we drove to West Jordan and after that went to Jim’s Restaurant for lunch. It poured the whole time we were in the restaurant.

After coming home Mark wanted to watch a movie so he stripped and I stripped and we watched a movie in bed called YPF.  He had an amazing hard on so I sucked him and that wasn’t doing it for me so I rolled on my side and let him penetrate me. He must have been horny because it’s the first time he’s every cum inside me.  So then we finished watching the movie and he left about 4:30 to go home. He didn’t wait to see Mike Romero because he’s been a dick to him lately.

Ben took the What does your Eye Color reveal about you? quiz and got the result: 82% Blue, 18% Hazel. Pure at heart, passionate, lovable, very caring, kind, beautiful. Your ideal role in society would be the Painter

Let's Begin the Beguin... I always wanted to be Miranda Carmen and wear a tutti-fruiti hat and go chicka boom chicka boom chicka boom! Ben completed the quiz "Which decade are you?" with the result 1940s Glamorous Revolutionary. You are quite the glamorous revolutionary! You have a sense of pride in everything that you take on, whether it's filling in to do a man's job during wartime or raise your daughters to step up to the challenge of helping to establish women's rights, you take things head on! You are a hard worker and are always looking out for others. Your style centers around clean lines and timeless designs. Women in the 40s had the same sense of pride in their bodies and dressed in a way that accentuated their figures! You are not one to stand by and let things happen to you, you go after what you want and you are respected and admired for it! .

Ben Williams insecure with an oral fixation! That's me. Ben took the Which Peanuts/Snoopy Character Are You? quiz and the result is Linus You may lack some courage outside your comfort zone but with a little security you can accomplish anything you put your mind to. You are smart, understanding, and caring. Keep up your strong style because it is a part of you that is unique.

11 June 2009 Thursday

I went to Walmart and bought a new comforter for the bed but it rained most of the day quite heavily.

12 June 2009 Friday

I awoke from a nightmare this morning. Had a teacher's nightmare...that I couldn't fine my car...or my cell phone and I was in a strange motel... and couldn't get a substitute to take my class.... it was only a dream but agitating never the less.  I am still dreaming about my students so Summer Vacation has not really hit me yet.

I worked in the backyard spading the southwest corner of my lot down but the fruit trees. The ground was really muddy but wanted to get the soil turned over in case I lay more sod this weekend.  It didn’t rain much today mostly overnight and a little in the evening.

I was surprised to hear from Mike Romero that Mark Andersen was coming over to spend the night. He came home about 7:30 and he was all wired up from a hard day’s work.

So we went to Chuck A Rama about 8:30 which was kind of late since they close at 9.  We stayed until 9:30 after getting our fill and then came home to watch a movie. I had been wanting Mark to watch Body Heat so Mike Romero put that on.  It was nearly 1 in the morning before I left the pair of them and went to bed downstairs.

Ben Williams The Bedouin life is not for me... bears crap in the woods but not me! Ben completed the quiz "What kind of camper are you?" with the result You are the Hampton Inn. Camping? Psssh...what's that? No bugs thank-you very much. Give me that sleep number bed, television, inside plumbing, room-service and a pool..

Ben Williams I'd rather be in the Gay Mafia  Ben completed the quiz "Which secret society should you belong to?" with the result The Illuminati. Why not rule the world? Everyone else is trying to do it! Begun in 1776 by Adam Weishaupt, the Bavarian Illuminati was popular with intellectuals and more than a few atheists because, unlike the Freemasons, it did not require belief in a Supreme Being. Some say the Illuminati, the 'enlightened', still exists today, perhaps working behind the scenes to create a One World Order. Officially, the Illuminati collapsed in the late 1700s. Apparently, running the world is too big a responsibility...or is it?.

13 June 2009 Saturday

I got up around 8 but Mike Romero and Mark Andersen didn’t get until nearly 10.  It was raining again a little this morning so I knew we wouldn’t be cutting down the red maple tree in the front yard today.  That poor maple is slowly dying because lack of iron in the soil. I’ve had it for 13 years but it’s leaves are yellow not green and even are curling up. It’s not like we haven’t had the water this year.  So even though I’ve loved that tree, it’s time to say good bye.

About 11:30 this morning we went to Mimi’s in Murray for breakfast.  Mike Romero really liked his breakfast but Mark had a grilled chicken salad instead because he didn’t see anything he wanted off the menu for breakfast.

After we ate I suggested rather than do yard work let’s go instead to Promontory Point because Michael had been wanting Mark to see the Jupiter and Number 119 at the Golden Spike National Park.

It was a great day for a road trip and a great day to be out in the country with the sweet smelling sage. Mark was being like a kid at the place and even had Mike Romero take a picture of him lying under the cow catcher of Engine No 119. Him and his antics. It was a little cool but didn’t rain on us until heading back to Corrine and I-15.

We had supper at Warren’s in Ogden because I always wanted to try the hamburger joint but I wasn’t all that impressed.  Mark had to leave for Salem after we got back to our place.

I went to bed about 10:30 but before going to bed I wrote on my Facebook Account: Just was thinking before going to bed I graduated 40 years ago today from High School and spent grad night with John Cunningham. Then I posted a picture of him and I from back then.

14 June 2009 Sunday

I didn’t do much today because of the rain. I did make a crock pot sauerkraut and sausage recipe which while delicious was very rich. Too rich.  Watch some more of the BBC’s Torchwood series. Not sure how I feel about it. It’s not as good as Dr. Who, yet.

Regarding my Facebook posting, my cousin John Williams wrote: True story? So I responded:  Yes, but probably not what you think. I was in love with John, he didn't know it but was lonely and needed me as a friend. We both did not want to spend Grad night at Disneyland so we went out for pizza and a movie and a long walk out on the Huntington Beach Pier that use to extend a 1/4 mile out.

We watched the moon dance off the ocean and talked about what young people talk about… the future. It took me a year and a half to actually tell him I loved him. It was after an evening at Disneyland ironically.

It was the summer of 1970 and he said that he didn't love me.

He never married worked as a firefighter, became chemically dependent on drugs and alcohol and died in May 2007. I never saw him again after 1972 when he joined the army but in the 1980's he used to call me and we talked about how I felt about him.

He knew I still loved him and that I would always love him. It bothers me that I am living in a world where John no longer exists.

John Williams responded back: OMG, I normally don't get choked up and have been accused of not having a heart, but that really made me sad.

I wrote back: He was worth it... maybe we will get to be together in the next go around... Loving John and never being able to express it made me the activist I became because I wanted to help the next generation not to have to hide their love from the world. I am so glad that I was able to know you cousin...even if it's just through the electronic media.

15 June 2009 Monday

I called Garth Chamberlain who was in town visiting from Southern California so we could met for lunch. His best friend Robert Rosvell joined us and we went to the Noodle House on 4th South. It’s not my favorite place but was theirs and I mainly wanted to visit more than cared where I ate.

I met them at 12:30 and bought their lunch. Garth said I didn’t have to do that and I said it might be another 10 years before I see you again.

We sat on the patio and it was beautiful day…no rain and about 70 degrees.  It was fun visiting with Robert who I hadn’t seen since the early 90’s. We talked about people we know and what they are up to, about ourselves, and about Gay politics.

Garth I guess works for American Airlines and lives in Long Beach. Robert is on disability and has been for a while. Both are HIV positive but said their viral loads are non-detectable.

Well, we visited for about 2 hours and when Robert informed me that he lived in Rose Park near me he rode with me so I could see where he lives. Going down 4th South through Poplar Grove I saw Mark in his UPS van so flipped a u-ey and caught up with him to say hi.  I guess he and Michael had lunch together at Panda Café.

Mark had called me earlier this morning asking if I’d help him do some yard work for a little old lady on his route. I said sure.

Any way Robert lives right near the Rose Park Library so is not very far from me.  The rest of the day I spent working on my Gay chronology archives and watched a couple of episodes of Torchwood.

My mind has been so agitated about the decision of the state school board to make teachers be finger printed every time they are re-licensed. I know I will need to get my record expunged but the thought of having to do it just alarms me so.  I just don’t want to deal with it but I must.  I think I have to relicense in 2010 and I am only 4 years away from retiring. I am afraid I might lose my job just shy of retiring and getting a pension.

16 June 2009 Tuesday

Mark Andersen didn’t have to work today so he asked if I’d help him mow this invalid woman’s lawn that is out his route over in Glendale. I said sure. When I got there I was skeptical that anyone still lived there. Weeds not grass had taken over her yard…shades were all pulled down.

I asked when was the last time you saw this lady and he said last fall.  But he was convinced that she was still there so we mowed and pulled weeds in the front yard and just as we were finishing up a neighbor came over to see what we were doing and said the house was vacant and the woman there had moved to Texas or was dead. I didn’t quite understand him because of his accent.

Any way Mark was bummed over that because he wanted to have done a good deed and I told him he did do a good deed whether the person for whom he did it knew it or not.

We came back to my house and he mowed my yard while I weeded some.  Mike Romero got off early and we went to Chuck-A-Rama for lunch. Afterwards went to Brookstone and I bought a new player for my Sansa music player.  Mark went home about six  and it rained most of the evening.

17 June 2009 Wednesday

Mark Andersen didn’t have to work today so he showed up about  8:30 and said let’s cut down the tree.  My red maple in my front yard is slowly dying from lack of iron in the soil. For the last two years I drilled holes in the bark and poured liquid iron into it and I had before that drilled holes in the ground to try and help the roots.  It was the first tree I planted in my front yard back in October 1996 and it had at first been a beautiful tree, green in the summer, and red in the fall but for the last five years the leaves have turned yellow and brown on the tips and dropped before there was any chance of turning red.  Still I was reluctant to part with  it. Silly I know but it is a living thing and had stood shading my house for many years.

Mark used the chain saw to drop the tree and then he cut the big branches while I used my big limb cutting shears to cut the tree into pieces that would fit into my truck. Amazingly it all did fit and we hauled it to the land fill. It only took about 2 ½ hours all in all.

Mike Romero came home about 11:30. Said it was so and so he took off since Mark was here.  It rained again pretty heavy while they watched some movies and I worked on my Gay Chronology.  It’s slow and tedious at times.  For a late lunch we went to Betos in Bountiful for tacos and nachos. Back home we watched Sky Captain on the Big Screen  since Mark had never seen it.  It was a nice day. Mark left about 6 and Mike Romero started packing for his trip to Spokane, Washington Elementary to meet his Aunt.

18 June 2009 Thursday

Mike Romero left this morning before 6 to go on a road trip to Spokane.  Said he would be back on Sunday.  I went to get some sod but Sutherland’s was out again so I took up a piece to cover the hole in the front yard. Spent most of the day organizing my Gay History Files. Darren Solomon called late and wanted to come by.  I’m really not in the mood to be romantic with him but not sure how to say not interested in more. Don’t want to hurt his feelings.

19 June 2009 Friday

About all I did today was work on my Gay Files, renew my AAA road service for Mike Romero and I and clean the kitchen.  It was a beautiful day today finally no rain and about 80 degrees.

20 June 2009 Saturday

It rained almost all day today. At noon I went over to Chuck Whyte’s to go out for lunch. I was surprised when he paid me $300 that he had borrowed from me years ago. I guess his brother left him some money after he died.

We went to Lonestar Steak House in Sugar House for lunch and visited a while. He said he was glad to not be Prince Royal anymore even though he and Chevy Suburban donated over $8000 raised at court shows to various charities. Chuck gave a $1000 to Kristen Ries for AIDS information. I guess Austin Riley is the new Emperor and Paris Cartier is the new Empress.  Afterwards we went of Cahoots where he bought some party favors and I bought Mark Anderson a key chain and a bumper sticker that says, “It’s All Good”, which is his favorite saying.

21 June 2009 Sunday-

First day of summer, Mike Romero Romero’s birthday and Father’s day.  I have no more fathers to send cards to but I did send one to Mike Romero’s dad.

It was a pretty day today and I scrubbed and cleaned house as a Solstice ritual. Cleaned up all the pee spots, vacuumed, mopped, changed sheets, did laundry, dishes, dusted and polished, made Lasagna, just a busy bee.

Mike Romero came home earlier than expected about 3:30 p.m. I guess he had a good time.

Say goodbye to the longest day of the year...Summer begins and the days start getting shorter...the sun god is at the peak of his glory and will start to wane tomorrow.... Happy Solstice Everyone...You are my sun god my only sun god you make me happy when skies are gray you'll never know dear how much I love you please don't take my sun god away.

22 June 2009 Monday

Today is the 40th anniversary of the death of Judy Garland. I drove all the way to Davis High School in Kaysville because I couldn’t remember if today was the class I have to take. I couldn’t get into my school email account to check.

Well it wasn’t so I dropped by Washington Elementary to use their computers and was surprised to see that my stuff is already moved into my classroom and Jenny was there setting up her classroom.  At home I worked on my Gay Archives trying to get them organized to donate.

Before going to bed I listened to Judy Garland’s The Man Who Got Away. I started to remember some of my BYU experiences and I wrote this:

A very long time ago at a small fireside at BYU Eldred Smith spoke to a small group of us students and brought with him a very small wooden box that had been passed down in the Smith family. He said it was the box that once held the Golden Plates. We thought we were so lucky to be privileged to see this empty box. We of course were very young then and we were impressed by a story about an empty box. Not so much now.”

23 June 2009 Tuesday

I went to my Title One Academy class today up at Davis High School and they explained that there’s big changes coming. One of them is that we have to teach to the standards and show mastery instead of using a grade book. I was with Jeny Petersen for most of the time since we teach 5th grade.

After a long day I came home, fed the dogs, Mike Romero didn’t say a  word to me but I am okay with that now.

Called mom and she wanted to know what to do with some of my stuff and if I’d be coming down. Really don’t want to with Charline and Dennis now living in Mom’s trailer because they won’t be much room, it will be hot, and their dog Winston is a pest. Mom says she’s really hurting in her leg and all the pain medicine she takes doesn’t take care of it anymore. It’s a constant ache like a wisdom tooth.  When we said goodbye I could tell mom was tearing up. I think it’s starting to overwhelm her again the prospects of this move.

24 June 2009 Wednesday.

While in a morning session, another facilitator came in to inform us that three students in a class just across from us have the Swine Flu and were sent home so to make sure to wash our hands throughout the day.

Utah has had more deaths from Swine Flu for its population than any other state.

Well if AIDS didn’t get me I’m not worried about the swine flu. Besides I got my shots for it back in 1976! Ha!

Mike Romero’s still not talking or visiting with me. What do I care.

Mark Anderson said that yesterday he had to attend a funeral. The 2 year old son of his cousin had drowned in a swimming pool.

In the news is Health Care, riots in Iran, and the SC Republican Governor Sanford having an affair during his hiatus.

25 June 2009 Thursday

Today is my sister Donna’s 60th birthday. I won’t be far behind her.

Big news today is that two celebrities died today. Michael Jackson and Farah Fawcett. Farah’s was not unexpected because she had cancer but I guess Jackson went into cardiac arrest and was probably DOA.  Neither death touches me very much but I know for millions around the world they do.

I never was a Charlie’s Angel fan and being Gay her beauty was never appealing.  I never got into Michael Jackson. When he was with the Jackson 5 he was a just a kid singing Bubble Gum love songs as an artist on his own I was in my 30’s and my pop musical tastes were more dictated by 60’s and 70’s groups.

Only thing Mike Romero said to me all day was that Michael Jackson died.  I went to my last day of the Title One Academy. They fed us well is all I can say and We will get $300 for attending so evidently there was a lot of money set aside for Title One training.

26 June 2009 Friday

Mark Andersen came by today saying he didn’t have any work so he helped me all day. First we went up to Washington Elementary so he could help me move desks and book cases.  Then we met Michael for lunch. We went to Panda Buffet and had a nice lunch.

Mike Romero said that Richard Packer and Steve Merrill were putting down today one of their dogs who’s 15 years old.

After lunch Mark wanted to work on the sprinklers so we went to Sutherlands and bought about $110 worth of heads and rotaries and other stuff.  It was a cool over cast day to do this kind of work.

Mark told me that Mike Romero really went to Spokane to meet a guy there he’s been chatting with on line but Mark said Mike Romero said the guy was a dud.  Mark also told me that Mike Romero got qualified for $160,000 to buy a townhouse.  Well if he’s moving out. I will deal with that when the time comes.

We worked in the yard until about 4 when Mark had to quit because he and Mike Romero wanted to go see the Transformer movie at the Gateway at 5.

So Mike Romero came home and showered with Mark, while I fed the dogs.  I didn’t really want to go and also thought Mike Romero needed some time with Mark alone.

About 7:30 a huge storm blew in with lightning and thunder and it down poured! It lasted until after 8.

Mike Romero and Mark came home said the movie was good and we went out to Ambers for a late dinner.  By the time we got back it nearly ten and I was ready for bed.  Let Mike Romero and Mark stay up watch a movie and play.

27 June 2009 Saturday

Mark Andersen and Mike Romero slept in until nearly 10:30 because of how late they were up. Later Mike Romero told me that Mark finally fucked him for the first time. Well it’s about time.

We went out for breakfast at Chuck A Rama because it was nearly noon… more of a brunch I guess. It was good.  Worked on the sprinkler system some and Mark had to leave about 6.

28 June 2009 Sunday

I called my uncle RL Williams today. It’s his 86th birthday. We didn’t talk long. But he’s good and his hip is better. Said it’s been 102 degrees there in the California.  I helped Chuck Whyte buy and plant flowers for most of the day. We spruced up his front yard.

30 June 2009 Tuesday

I went in for a meeting with Diane Pulley and Jeny Petersen about how we are going to pull off me teaching a split next year. I stayed until about 1 putting my room together some.

It started to get warm so left about 1 and was surprised to see Mark Andersen at the house. He usually is at the house before I leave if he’s not working.  He hadn’t had lunch and he wanted Del Taco so we ended going back up to Bountiful.

Talking about Mike Romero, he said that Mike wants to buy back into the house and I told him that he hadn’t said a word to me and if I agreed there would be some strict stipulations.

When Mike Romero came home Mark and him watched some Porn and I fixed some dinner. Don’t know why I bothered because I don’t think anyone was hungry.

After Mark left for Salem Mike Romero sat with me in the front room and visited. He hadn’t done that in a month.  He said that Mark fucked him again as a quickie before going home. I said good, you both need it.  Then we talked about Smokey and how he’s changing as he’s aging; very possessive of Buddy, growling at him a lot and sleeps with me instead of Mike Romero anymore.  Think he’s getting slightly senile as he’s aging.

Before going to bed I wrote an article for the Q Salt Lake because dead line was today. So ends the month of June 2009.
